  • hmm.. so people have evacuated new orleans in droves to avoid hurricane
    katrina and those that have stayed are hunkered down in the superdome
    with 5 days worth of food...

    for a split second there, i was considering going to new orleans
    anyways and check out the scene, but as mijung mentioned, all we'd be
    looking at is debris and no restaurants would be open.  altho,
    maybe we'd find a crawfish or 2 chilling on the sidewalk?  then we
    could bring over our findings to the superdome, barbecue it up and
    share with the refugees ...

    wah!!  guess this means i've been granted extra time to work on
    the lwf website!  that's not a bad thing, ya know?  i shall
    save my furry vest for another day!  just sad to not see my lovely
    travel buddies.. sniff*

    *edit:  been reading about what going on in new orleans and it's
    pretty devastating...  just a difference of a few days and we
    might've found ourselves in the middle of all of that..  God's
    grace fo sho.. but my heart goes out to the folks out there..
