never go to target to buy jewelry.  instead buy lip gloss:

this saving a buck or two kick is pretty tricky, but i'm thinking this last target trip was almost perfect.  except for the 2 dollars i wasted on some n.y.c. lip gloss that feels a little like shellac.  but a small price to pay to find a decent lip gloss to replace the 16 dollar make up for ever one i lost at starbucks.  the woman who kept asking me to tie and untie the shoe of her doll i think is the culprit of my distraction. 

so i'm eating chocolate this morning, mini snickers and twix bars.  mini because i'm trying to not get fat and also they're easier to hide from my aunt.  she's so super good to me except she won't let me eat chocolate.  i'm so addicted i hide it under my papers at work and end up getting choco stains everywhere. 

so i go to target yesterday to be frugal and buy a really cheap notebook.  mission accomplished because i found a cute red one for 33 cents!  but target is the devil because i ended up picking up a pair of pants, some mascara, earrings, and toner.  still cheap by most standards but i ended up paying 46.64 for a trip that should have cost me 33 cents plus tax. 

i'm psyched about the pants tho, wearing them right now. here's what they sort of look like but not really since i stole this pic off of the old navy site:

dang.  how cool are these?  shoot.  maybe i shoulda saved my 20 bucks at target and applied it to these pants from the gap that cost 49.50..  too late, because as i mentioned before, i'm wearing the target ones right now.

sigh.

for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of meeting my niece.. here she is:

jenna....  her face is a little square but i think it's because the chub in her cheeks give in to gravity..

she doesn't yet walk, but i like to think it's because she's smarter than the average child. 
why work that hard with your face that close to the ground? 
just wait til nature kicks in and she can walk on two feet like the rest of the world...
