i am the biggest goof in the kitchen but one of my resolutions is to
try cooking more often! it doesn't help that all my kitchen
appliances and tools resemble those of a college student.. ie: broken
knives alladin style; no food processor so i'm forced to use my "magic
bullet" to chop; and pots that are the first to be volunteered for
church retreats cuz they're already in bad shape... BUT tokhui has
inspired me to create a log of successful recipes that i've tried:
sueann's test kitchen! so for every recipe i like, it's getting
laminated and placed lovingly into my new recipe binder. uh, so
far i've got ONE:last night i tried hongkykong's
mac & cheese suggestion.. turned out PERFECT. even with the
magic bulleted bread crumbs... definately add the ham, makes a
huge difference.next on my list? kenny's chili con carne!
any other tried and true recipes out there that i can test out in my ghetto kitchen? do tell!
the fewer the ingredients, the better. and definately no complicated tools, i probably won't have it...

oooh!! this is going to be FUN!! i see a yummy 2006!!
kenny's chilli is good!!!
you should try my kimchee bohk um bap. if I can make it, then you KNOW it's easy... and it tastes good too!
we eat this one way too much b/c it's SOOOOOO easy--chicken katsu--need chicken breast slices, 1 egg, a little flour, katsu flakes from korean or japanese store (similar to bread crumbs), donkatsu sauce. alternately dip chicken breast into flour, egg and cover with katsu flakes and fry in oil for a few minutes on each side, until golden brown. serve with rice and a side salad with asian dressing.
sounds fun! i want my own kitchen!
i love your kitchen. and woobear's chicken katsu is to die for.
hey, we're HERE!!
hope things turn out well!
o i just thought of my ghetto curry. use 1 can of beef stew from chunky and use half a square (2 cubes) of that korean brand "golden curry" add some water to thin it out (maybe 4 oz?) and once it's heated up you have instant curry.
so proud of you! let me know how the pot pie works out. i'll try to post more easy dishes that you can make.
Here's my best recipe: 2 slices of white bread, 8 slices of smoked turkey cold cuts. Add pickles or potato chips to taste. I'm so sick of sandwiches...
Put 1 whole small chicken in a pot over potatoe cutin squares. Add sliced onions on top. Top with salt, pepper, garlic, and herb of choice. Cover with saran wrap. Cook for 10 minutes, check and cook some more. Me BAM BAM.....easier recipe for the kitchen retarded like you and me. Most of the flavor from the chicken goes to the potatoes. Good eats.
dood. that mac & cheese was the bomb. wish i took some to-go.
Hi Sueann!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait til you come!
Check this out: http://www.xanga.com/koreancooking
next time, kielbasa instead of ham, a lil bit of black pepper, cold wash the mac, and then it'll be perfect! hahaha
Here's an easy one. Use Prego sauce and then chop up onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Make sure to use lots of garlic 'cause you want to represent Koreans when talking to people with that garlic smell oozing out of your mouth. If you want to get exotic, buy some Italian sausage, roll it up into balls and deep fry them. Add it to your sauce and it'll be awesome!
haa. haa. cooking more for my hubby is one of my new year resolution. I made "Japanese Hamburger Steak" the other night and it was pretty tasty...
i love mac and cheese...so will u cook it for me when u come over? PLEASE.....
